The young Nazi stuffed his head underneath his pillow and tried to block out his memory, and the voices. The voices of little children screaming when their parents were taken away, and the voices of old men dying. His memory kept a continuous slide show of broken bodies, gassed men and women, and the horrible look on a woman's face when she realized she was going to be buried in a mass grave.

The Gift of LifeThere are guys in the company that most of us just can't stand. One of them was the guy who'd kill kids because they were Vietnamese. Another was Jed. He was a long lanky guy who had little respect for anything, found pleasure in killing, and was lazy. He spoke little though, when he did, he always had a piece of sarcasm to offer. We all avoided him like the black plague, and hoped that he'd step on a land mine before one of us shot him.

sorry , my sad sense of humour at work again..
I've always loved Jesters , but apart from the bit
in Shake Spear's Hamlet , this is the only time I've
heard or seen anything of a skeleton jester ..
