I want to spend more time blogging on the net, and I have a few subjects I want to talk about. First of all I want to tell you about my fine art page and how that went. Then I want to talk about art education and last, Art modeling.
I created a persona on here that was all fine art, and was figure study, photography and the like. I didn't create any monsters or any of my horror work. I had very few visitors and almost no comments. It could be that my work sucked, or that people on this site just don't like traditional work. I was very let down, because I wanted to branch out and felt that the problem might have been that my work isn't very good. I looked at other works and felt they were equal in composition and form. I decided that it has more to do, with what people like on here. I hope to find another home for my fine artwork as I do not want to post the many nudes here where children traffic thru my work all the time.
As for art education, I start back this week and look forward to it. I do worry that my school is managed by people who feel the need to censor work. I was featured in the school newsletter and then my work was altered to remove a man's penis. I go to an art collage, not a Baptist University. Anyone else ever have this kind of experience? I live in the southern U.S. and have no doubt that it is localized.
I am almost done, bare with me. I want to model for a professional photographer or painter. I don't want to model for a class. Most students don't take it seriously enough. I have no idea how to get started. I am working out regularly, and have used my own body in my own work. I want to have the kind of impact that the models I have used had on me. I learned more from working from live models than anything else, ever.
That is all for now. I hope you all are having a wonderful new year, and that you continue to grow as an artist and a person. Peace!
